Greetings from the irenic village of St Nicholas at Wade, about 30 mins by road to Canterbury on the No 8 Bus, about 9 miles. One post office and tiny shop; 2 pubs; a medieval church; an ancient vicarage (sold), and a now modern house which is lovely. My other church is called St Mary the Virgin Chislet about 5 miles down the road.
I have been around some 7 plus months. No car; I am House for Duty (no pay except expenses (!). We have a choir; A Reader, Three Authorised Lay Ministers; New Organ; Super organist; good cooks, esp scones! We had a Lent course about 15-19 attended, Sundays about 45-55 -

Over 200 at School; super Assemblies at school and church.
Lovely vestments; huge east window, stunning; lovely St Nicholas image on porch. Interesting Priest's room over the door and the Upper Room, hardly used. we have WC! we live on coffee, never tea...and cookies.
